More Baby Thoughts

We bought some cloths for the baby yesterday which included a bib that says “I love daddy”. I never really thought that type of stuff was cool but now it makes me so happy knowing that this bib will be around his little neck. This whole baby thing is making me feel all mushy inside and I’m pretty sure this time it’s not gas. It has really brought upon me a strong feeling of pride and desire to do everything in my power to make sure he is taken care of.

Don't you hate that? Becoming a dad turns you into every schmuck you've ever laughed at for being nerdy about his kids! And worse: you don't really care because you're just so damn giddy!

Yuck! Maybe it'll shake off when they become teenagers? I can tell you that not even the "terrible twos" (and they ARE terrible) can wipe that stupid grin away. Oh, the tantrums can, but then they do something cute and you forget why you were so stressed out a minute ago...

You're a good parent already! My stepson and his wife will have a new baby girl this Friday if all goes well. (A St. Patty's Day baby!) The baby is turned wrong so they are doing a c-section. This is their first one and they are beyond excited!

"I love Daddy" bid. How adorable!! I'm excited for you both!!
